Greetings to my visitors!

The girl told me this morning that I'd had a lot of visitors overnight, and I was so surprised, and very happy. I want to say hello to all my new friends on the cat blogosphere (http://www.blog.catblogosphere.com/) today.

And, to answer some of the queries, because I haven't really told my story yet...

I was trapped in north Calgary by a very friendly woman who thought I was a feral cat. I wasn't, but I had what they call 'entropic' eye problems, so I couldn't see very well, and that made me really nervous and skittish. Once I got to the shelter at the MEOW Foundation, the lovely people there took me to a vet, and the vet operated on my eyes. Now I can see properly, and as soon as I could see, the MEOW folks realized that I wasn't feral at all, but actually quite a nice kitty. I stayed at the shelter for about a month and a half, which is a lot less than a lot of other kitties there.

There was another kitty that came in around the same time as me that had the same eye problems, named Imani, and I am happy to see that he has found himself a home too! He's a big boy like me, but he's mostly grey with a white chest, very regal looking. He's a bit younger than I am though, because I am almost five, and he is only one.

I also wanted to post a photo or two of my new sisters. Pandora is the red tabby, and Zowie is the dilute tortie. They're a lot smaller than me, probably half my size. I think they're partly scared of me because I'm so much bigger than they are.

Hi Percy! We saw you visited our blog and are following us now, so we had to come and see who our new friend was. Wow, you have quite a story and we are happy you have a warm, loving home now! You must be the biggest, jowliest and manly black cat we have seen! Do you have big cheeks cuz you were a tomcat not too long ago? That happens, you know. Also, hormones make a tomcats skin tougher so they are protected from claws, though it doesn't help much. Teri is a vet tech, so she knows lotsa stuff like that, and also about your entropion eye problem, and we're glad that fixed you up and you are not a scared kitty now.

Welcome to the catblogosphere, it's a fun and loving place too!

It's so wonderful that you got a good Forever home. Your sisters seem very nice. I am a dilute calico, like Zowie!

Percy, do you mind telling us how much you weigh? I weigh just 7 pounds.

Daisy, the girl says she was told that I weigh about 16-17 pounds. She also says that my sisters only weigh about 7-8 lbs each. They're very small.

The Misadventures Of Me said...

Hi Percy! Glad to meet you! I just read about you through the CB. Its amazing your story, almost similar to mine. I too was thought to be a feral cat and when a nice couple found me they brought me to a shelter to be fixed up. That shelter got over filled and if someone didnt adopt me I would have been put to sleep. ::shiver:: So another shelter rescued me and I traveled hundreds of miles from Kentucky to Massachusetts to be with my furever home and loving family!

Isn't life great now? I sure think so! Come visit me and my fur sister and brother sometime.
