Thanks for your purrs!
Pandora is doing well on her antibiotics (even if she doesn't much like the taste of them), and the v-e-t just called with her bloodwork results -- NO hyperthyroid, and actually no problems at all. Her bloodwork is very good for a senior ladycat. Mum is very relieved.
Thank you all for your purrs and grrs. We know it has helped. :)
ETA: The vet thought Pandora might be hyper-t because she is so small and skinny. But she isn't, and mum is glad.

Purrs for Pandora
The mum here...Well, Pandora's not a very happy kitty at the moment. The vet was over today, and Pandora had blood drawn and (an attempted) urine sample (but she peed a bit on the floor, and there was blood, so the vet took some of that.) UTI, and possibly (after physical examination) a likelyhood of hyperthyroidism. But the blood results will give a bigger picture. So, Pandora's on antibiotics for the UTI, and I'm sure she'll just love that. It's liquid, but I don't know how it'll taste...
I had the vet in because Pandora had peed outside the litterbox twice in two days. She's the only cat of my three who has ever had UTIs before, and that's exactly the symptom she showed the first two times. (First time, she peed on me, lol). She now has 10 days worth of antibiotics, and I'll have to wait until next week to get the results of the bloodwork. I'm really hoping it isn't hyperthyroidism or anything else. Pandora's cuddling pretty close and I'm sure she'd love some purrs and grrrs from the blogosphere. :)

Pictures of Us
Mum had some fun with that cat cartoon maker thingy, and she made pictures of us. She says they're not quite as good as she'd like, but they do capture our 'looks'... She took these screen captures of our cartoons:
Pandora has her mouth open because mum says that she is always talking. (and we agree, she is almost ALWAYS talking!)
I am a little bigger and I am glad to see that mum got my biscuit head in. The only really inaccurate bit is that I am showing two teef in this picture and I only have one upper canine toof left. But that's how I'd be if I had it back!
And she says Zowie was the hardest one to get. I suppose it's tough with the mix of furs she has.
Has your mum or dad tried this out yet?

Mum's not very good at keeping up with our blogging! Never fear, we are all still here! We have been enjoying the spring, and keeping watch out the front window for squirrels and birds. Here is Zowie hanging out in the toy box!
So part of why mum hasn't been posting is because she spent some time in Chicago, doing research for her book! But now she's back, so we hope to be posting again properly.

Lazy Sunday.
We love snoozing on Sundays. Usually we fill up the sofa so that mum has a hard time finding a spot to sit! But, when we can't do that, the area rug works just as well!

Busy!

Oops. Mum has been busy and has forgotten to help us blog. She does that sometimes, usually when she's writing a lot. She has a new story out on Amazon, called 'Betting the Farm'. It's a short story, and she wrote it last year.
Other than that, we are busy doing our usual things: snoozing, playing, eating lots of noms, and snuggling with mum.

My 3rd Gotcha Day!
I can hardly believe it's my THIRD Gotcha Day! Wow.
Mum went back to look at some of our first blog posts, and we thought we'd post a few photos from when I first came home.
This photo is from my MEOW Foundation profile. I spent a lot of time in my cubby, but since I have been in my home, I have been getting braver and braver. I hardly ever spend time in cubbies now, excepting for when mum brings out the vacuum cleaner, or there's a big scary noise from outside.
And this is the very first... well, second, but the first that came out... photo ever taken of me in my new home! I am tucked back into the corner of my safe room because I am not sure about what is going on. (and mum says that I cried for the first two nights I lived here, because I was lonely and scared.)
And here I am on my first bed, and still looking tense.
But now.... I'm a really relaxed mancat! Just check it out:

Are we friends yet?

This morning I was minding my own business, hanging out on the rug, and I saw Pandora nearby. As I'm a nice mancat, and I'm still trying to make friends with her, I reached out to say hi....

And I got smacked for my trouble. But sometimes we can co-exist next to each other, as you can see below...
Maybe one day we will be best friends.
