We were sent a sample of a new cat toy on the market to test and review. They are called Skinneeez (that's two Ns and three Es), and are cat toys that don't have any cotton stuffing in them, just catnip. The packaging says it makes them more like real animals, though personally I wish that real animals did have a tasty catnip smell! Our toy was a squirrel. Now, I have seen bigger squirrels in my day, but for an indoor squirrel, perhaps small is best.
Pandora got first dibs on the toy because that's just the way we roll. (Well, and she sometimes will give the smacky-paw to anyone who gets in her way.) But we all got a chance at it. We like it! Zowie likes to carry it around in her mouth (but she wouldn't let mum get a photo! silly Zowie.) However, pretty soon afterwards, it ended up where all the best toys do: under the sofa.

Our verdict? We like this toy! We only wish that mum would move the sofa more often so that it wouldn't be missing as much!
Mum says this toy is available at all sorts of pet stores, so make sure your beans keep a lookout for one!

My roommate Binga may resemble Zowie more, but she is totally like Pandora in personality - touch the toy and get smacked! But I'm glad you finally got your paws on it. You look like you totally enjoyed it. You guys should have a couch like ours - it's high up on feet, so it's impossible for our toys to get lost under there! (Of course, they get lost lots other places instead.)

Wow, I'm so impressed how laid back your cats are where nip toys are concerned! Casper and Ben get so worked up into a writhing, bunny-kicking frenzy that they only get nip on special occasions.

That looks like a pretty sweet toy that would be a hit around here. In answer to your question, the cat tree from Ikea is called "Bastis Blond." I heard Ikea is discontinuing their pet line though so that's probably why the link doesn't work anymore.
