Sister Sunday: Easy toys

Mum has been crumpling up her grocery store receipts and making them into paper balls for us to play with. Zowie especially LOVES to play with these, and she can chase them all over the house. I like to chase them too, and sometimes I try to steal away Zowie's toy to play with.

Another toy she came home with from the store was this great box! It's not very big, but all us cats like it. Pandora and Zowie sit in it a lot. It's also a great place to play with a mouse. Mum hasn't been able to catch a photo of me sitting in it yet though!

Crumpled paper makes the most delightful sound when it is batted around :) Have fun!

Sometimes the most simple things make the best toys. We love boxes of all types and crinkly cellophane wrappers. Also brown paper bags! We go inside the bag and mum takes a ruler and scrapes it around on the outside while we chase the sound. Just heaven.

You two strike such great poses. A box turns into a throne with just right touch of regal upon it1 :)

We like store receipt paper balls, too!

That is a great idea your mom had to make receipts into balls - it is a good way to recycle! And that is a great box - it looks like it would make a great bed!

Boxes and rolled up receipts are the best!
