MEOW Foundation: Feral Power !!

The MEOW Foundation has this awesome new program! We just have to tell you about it, as we think it is so very cool!

They have waived the adoption fee for those awesome beans who adopt one of the foundation's shy cats! We think that is great, because there are so many lovely cats at the shelter (and in foster homes) that are super sweet, but because they are shy, they get less attention, and thus are not adopted as often. Our mum met some very sweet cats when she was looking to adopt.

If you are a bean in the Calgary area, please think about adopting.

If you are a bean (or can ask your bean) who can give a donation to the MEOW Foundation, please do. We'd like to help them out since they are waiving the adoption fee. (That fee goes towards helping fund spays/neuters and care for all the shelter kitties.)

Mum says that if we get any monies for Christmas, some of the monies will be going to this program. :) I want lots of kitties to get adopted so that they can have nice mums to give cheek and chin scritches like this:

Mancat Monday: Mancatly napping

Sunday afternoons are especially great times for naps, because mum is around and she can scratch my tummy when I roll over.

Mancat Monday: Making the bed

I helped mum make the bed the other day. I made sure that my furs got on the sheets, because otherwise they wouldn't smell or feel quite right. And I made sure that my comfy spot was still comfy.

Here is a funny photo of me and Zowie. The angle makes Zowie look REALLY small!

Sister Sunday: Sitting on the pagoda house

Today's post is about how Pandora likes to sit in my spot on top of the pagoda house. (Not that I mind, but she's been doing it a lot lately, and I can't really sit up there when she is because she gets mad at me.)

I think maybe she likes to snoopervise stuff too. Especially since we are moving in two weeks and mum has started to pack up all her books. (We aren't going far, just to the upstairs suite in our house instead of the downstairs one. There's lots more space for us kitties up there, and better views of trees, birds, and the Outside.)

Simon looks like me!

See how similar me and Simon look? (Simon is the cat that mum fed while she was out of town for Thanksgiving. See the entry here.)

Me:

Simon:

Personally I think I am more mancatly looking, but mum says that's because Simon is much younger and hasn't had time to get as mancatly as me.

In other news, mum has been buying us more yummy foods! She said that the local pet food stores here are having trouble keeping the Nature's Variety dry food (rabbit) in stock because of issues bringing it over the border from the USA, so she had to call around to lots of shops to find one that had our dry food. But then as a special treat she bought some Nature's Variety Instinct canned food (rabbit, duck, and chicken.) I can't wait to taste it! (I love almost all foods.) Mum likes this food for us because the dry food is grain and gluten free (which is good for Pandora), and the canned food has lots of meat in it!

Mum is a bit lazy...

She has more photos on the camera, but hasn't uploaded them to her Macbook yet. So we are going to post a photo that you may have seen before. And then we shall go back to playing with our paper balls before bedtime. Mum is really good at throwing them so we can chase after them!

Mum's back!

Mum was away with her family for Canadian Thanksgiving. Us cats had our very lovely part-time staff come to take care of us.

Mum met a cat that lived near her grandparents' cabin. These are a couple photos. He is black and mancatly like me, but he is not as big. Mum called him Simon, and she said that she gave him the tasty turkey livers from the turkey they had on Sunday. I think that was nice of her because poor Simon was outside a lot! Mum says she wasn't sure if Simon had a family, but she thought he likely did because his furs were all glossy and he looked pretty healthy.

Funny photo!

Mum took this photo while she was trying to get a good one of me with my mobile phone on my scratcher. As you can see, it didn't work out very well. But we do think it is funny!

Happy Caturday!

Firstly, we want to say Happy Finder's Month to Tober the Cat because October is the month that his Assistant Boss Karen found him and brought him to the library that he now is the Boss of. Hooray!

And also...
It is finally Caturday! That means that mum isn't at work, so she can stay home and play with us! She's getting very good at throwing crumpled paper balls so we can run after them. I like to run after them and tackle them, and so does Zowie. Pandora likes mum to toss them up so she can bat at them like she is playing tennis! She is very good at it. (Maybe if we get another visitor we will get them to film us playing this way.)

But when we're not playing, we are napping!
