Mancatly Napping

Mum missed Mancat Monday, but we wanted to post a pic of me napping. Look at how comfy I am! (Mum likes that I am napping on my back, she thinks it's cute.)

Sister Sunday: Zowie

Zowie is the most elusive when mum brings out the flashy box. Thus, she's not pictured quite as often in the blog as myself or Pandora. But she's just as important!

When she was a kitten, her favourite thing to do was to curl up with mum's auntie's little baby. Mum figures it's probably because the baby smelled like milk, and was comforting for a tiny kitten.

Compared to her sister, Zowie has always been a bit bigger, but compared to a lot of other girlcats, she is still pretty small (kind of like the prices when you compare pet insurance plans online). One of her favourite things to do is to lie in the sun on mum's bed and sleep. She also especially likes to stretch out on the carpet to have someone pet her. (She pulls herself along, petting one side against the carpet, and the lucky person pets her on the other side! It's a very ingenious way of getting petted all over at once!)

She doesn't talk as much as Pandora does, but she loves to race around the house - from the scratching post down through the hallway, into the bedroom and up onto the back of the headboard, and then back to the scratching post. She does this a lot, and sometimes she lets me play too.

Her favourite snuggle time with mum is right before mum goes to bed. She kneads on mum's tummy, and then her nose drips, and she purrs, and that's when mum can tell that she's really happy.

A little oopsie.

Mum came home a bit late tonight because she was babysitting for friends of hers, and there was an oopsie on the tile at the front door, and a bigger oopsie just outside the litter box. She's not sure who it was, but she thinks it was Pandora. Mum is thinking that she'll have to take Pandora to the v-e-t again soon, but this time to a different one, maybe a holistic one. But for now we will see. (Pandora isn't really having that many 'oopsies' anymore, but mum hopes that she wouldn't have any.)

Saturday edit: It might have actually been Zowie. Mum thinks maybe the new food - Nature's Variety Instincts Rabbit dry food - might be upsetting her tummy. We'll see how it goes over the next few days, as we've all just started eating this food. (Mum wanted to increase our calorie intake so that Pandora gains some weight, and she does like the dry food bestest.)

Mancat Monday: Making a call

It's not a real mobile phone - it's better! It has catnip!

Cousins!

These are our two cousins, Bismarck and Freddie. We have posted photos of them once before, but they were very small kittens then. Mum got to visit them last week, and she took these photos. They sure have grown up! They are almost a year old now.

Caturday: New profile photo

Mum and I updated my profile photo! I think this new one is quite handsome, and mum says it is very mancatly.

Paw It Forward!!

We got a parcel in the mail today!! It was part of the Paw It Forward from the House of Cats. It was a great fantastic box just full of these awesome goodies! Plus we got a card with Daisy on it, and mum got a cute calendar! Wow.

Here are some photos of us helping mum unwrap our gift:

This catnip smelled so good I licked the plastic container! Mum had to wipe it off with a napkin before she could open it because it was so wet!

Pandora liked the little yellow bird toy - and she thought that all the goodies in there smelled so good! She can't wait to try some of those Fancy Feast appetizers! (and best of all, they are grain-free so she can eat them ALL!)

I helped hold the box open while mum got out all the goodies.

Even though it's not actually a toy, Zowie especially loves playing with the tissue paper! (and it smells like catnip, so even better!)

About Paw It Forward:
The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'paw it forward' in their own way. This is how it works...I am going to send something to the first blog owner who wants to take part. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link back to me, then send something to the first person who signs up to play along through your blog. There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile; maybe something unique from where you live? And, remember that kindness does not have to involve money, there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go- just look around. Please post a comment letting me know that you want to play!

We would like to Paw it Forward to TWO cat-bloggers! So please post us a comment here! Mum says that she will go find some awesome goodies, and that once the MEOW Foundation comes out with their new calendars, she'll mail out gifts!

In the meantime, we are going to ask mum to give us some more catnip, and then some treats!

Wordless Wednesday: Busy

(Mum's been busy this week, plus she didn't sleep well on Sunday night so she's been tired. Hence our lack of posting. But for today, 3 pics!)

Sister Sunday: Easy toys

Mum has been crumpling up her grocery store receipts and making them into paper balls for us to play with. Zowie especially LOVES to play with these, and she can chase them all over the house. I like to chase them too, and sometimes I try to steal away Zowie's toy to play with.

Another toy she came home with from the store was this great box! It's not very big, but all us cats like it. Pandora and Zowie sit in it a lot. It's also a great place to play with a mouse. Mum hasn't been able to catch a photo of me sitting in it yet though!

Wowza!

Whoa!!!

Mum bought a whole BAG of chicken livers! She cut them up and put them into smaller bags, and she gave me some while she was doing that. They were DELICIOUS!

She says she couldn't take a photo because her hands were all covered in liver-ness, but I can tell you that they are the best treats EVER.

I love the new scratcher!

You saw the new scratcher in yesterday's post. As you can see, I like it very much indeed! I especially like it for sitting.

This is not my best side. My butt looks big.

From here I can snoopervise all the goings-on in the living room.

It is of course quite nice for scratching, but mum has yet to catch me in action with the flashy box. Pandora likes it too, but mum wasn't able to get any pictures of her with it just yet.

Wordless Wednesday: School Portrait

(It is back to school this month for the little beans, and mum thinks that this photo could be a school portrait - if kitties went to school!)

Happy Labour Day!

We hope you are having a nice long weekend! As you can see, our guest has been very good at playing!

A visitor!

The spare room (my old safe room) has a visitor! I made sure to visit with him during the night so he wouldn't be lonely. Pandora and Zowie made sure to visit too. He is very nice, and likes to give us lots of pets and snuggles, and even play with us! We're quite sure that he came to visit us as much as he came to visit mum. I am also hoping that he will give us some tasty treats. (It's sometimes easier to get treats from visitors as they are more easily charmed.)

What's a Snow Leopard doing in our house?!

Mum said that there was a Snow Leopard in our house!

Strangely, I didn't smell it, and I sure didn't see it.

I have no idea what she means.

Only a few toes to see this Tuesday

As I lounge on top of my pagoda house...
