Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our friends in the blogosphere!

Here I am, humouring mum's attempt to dress me up for the occasion. If only she hadn't used the flash!



Me and my sisters hope that you have the best of new years! We shall be having a nice evening here at home with mum, as her special friend is coming to visit. He visited us before, back in September. I think this means that we will have lots of playing!

Mancat Monday: Borrowing my sister's favourite spot

Here I am sitting in Zowie's favourite sleeping spot on the back corner of the sofa. It's rather nice. She's a very nice sister to share her spot.

Zowie came to ask what I thought of sleeping under the covers, because I got the idea from her.


I'm awake now, so I'd best get out of bed. It sure was snuggly though!

Exercising

Sometimes, when I feel like it, I like to do a bit of exercising. I especially like it when mum and I play with a long string, but sometimes I just like to lay on the rug and do sit-ups. I don't do very many, but I think it is quality that counts!



Mum is very impressed with my skills, and she says that's how I stay so mancatly!

Happy Birthday Percy!

We celebrated my birthday with toona and toys! It was the best! I'm now five years old!!

Sister Sunday: Zowie the Intrepid!

The other day, Zowie got to the top of the bookshelf in mum's studio! None of us know how she got up there, but mum figures that she was able to jump from the top of the scratching post to the top of the shelf. She didn't know where Zowie was until she looked up. Zowie is not at all scairt of high places.

That Snow!

When it was really cold out the last couple of weeks (it's now gotten warmer again, thank goodness!) us cats had a hard time seeing out of the windows because they had ice at the bottoms! This is a video of Pandora trying to get through the ice.

I think mum is getting prepared for my birthday on Monday! I saw some cans come into the house! Maybe it will be a special food!

My birthday has been decided!

Mum and I talked about when my birthday will be, and thank you to everyone who had such great suggestions!

Because Christmas is such a busy time for beans (and for cats - there's lots of stuff to sniff, foods to eat, and games to play with the ribbon on the bean gifts), we are going to make my birthday before Christmas.

Mancat Monday: When should my birthday be?

The v-e-t I saw at the shelter said I was born in December 2004. But I don't have an actual birthday!

What day do you think it should be?

Keeping warm!

It's -30C here today, and we are all staying inside and keeping warm! Pandora is snuggling on mum's lap. Zowie likes to sit in front of the heater, and I like to curl up inside the cosy heated bed.



We hope that it'll warm up soon, but mum says that it is going to be cold ALL weekend. Yuck.

Help save kittens from a kill-shelter in GA!

We have been reading the blog of Robin Olson, and we like that she works to bust out kitties from shelters where there is a high euthanasia rate (*shiver*).

Right now she is raising money to bust out some kitties from a shelter that has a 90% euthanasia rate! YIKES!

Go here to read more about it, and maybe if you can, give a few dollars. She is going to match all funds given too!

She needs $925 (half of that from donations) in only 1 week! If she succeeds, there will be foster kittens for Christmas, and special new homes and lives for some very lucky little ones.

Mancat Monday: I fit!

I fit in the bed!

Snowy Sunday

It is very cold and snowy here now! Mum says it is -18C, and getting colder. Us cats are finding the windows cold, and we are keeping curled up and warm, and eating lots of foods.

I don't quite fit.

New bed!

A very nice lady that mum knows sent her a heated cat bed! (It is a very sad story as her kitty had IBD and was very ill and went to the Rainbow bridge. She wanted to pass on some of her kitty's things to other kitties that could use them. Mum gave a donation to the lady's charity of choice.)


This heated cat bed is very, very nice for all us kitties, especially now that it is cold out. We take turns sleeping in it, and I got to sleep in it yesterday for the first time.


It does fit me, but it is a bit squishy. It is the perfect size for Pandora and Zowie. It's especially good for Pandora because she is very small and I think she probably gets cold quicker than a big mancat like me.
