Mum wanted to take my photo, but I wasn't really feeling like sitting still for her!
And finally, one that worked!

Pandora Update
Lots of people (and kitties) have been asking after my sister Pandora.
Pandora is doing pretty well. She's not having hardly any episodes of digestion upset, and mum is feeding her some raw food every day (as well as canned/pouched food from Wellness). Mum is glad that she is feeling better, even though she's not eating all raw food yet. She does have a patch of fur missing on her left back leg, but mum's keeping an eye on that for now. (She used to get patches all the time but the vet could never figure out why.)
Mum keeps a journal of all the food we kitties eat, and I heard her talking to a friend about counting our calories! I have no idea what that means but I am getting lots of delicious food anyway.

Toes Tuesday: Toes are good for eating with!
As Pandora demonstrates!
This is also our third food station, and it is far away from the other two food stations. That's because sometimes Pandora doesn't eat as much if she's around other kitties. So mum has this third station in the living room so that she can eat without having to worry about someone else nosing in on her food. Of course, we all eat from all the dishes, but this gives us a bit of space.
Mum says sorry for the darkness of the video - she didn't catch Pandora eating like that until almost 8pm last night!

Sister Sunday
This is a photo from last week, but Pandora and I ended up on the sofa again today, and Pandora was tucked partly between mum and me. She was fine until she woke up and realized she was next to me. Then she was startled!
Zowie's taking it easy on the scratching post. It has been nice and warm here, so we're all enjoying the sun!

10 Facts About Mum
We copied this over from Huffle's blog, as mum hasn't played this game yet!
Either (1) post 7 facts about yourself AND photos OR (2) post 10 facts about yourself with no photos, OR (3) post a childhood picture of yourself.
Mum says we can post 10 facts.
1. If she were a cat, her human years would convert into just over 3 cat years! That means even I'd be older than her!
2. She likes some guy called David Bowie. A lot.
3. She paints pictures, but she says it's hard to paint with cats around all the time as she doesn't want the paint to get everywhere.
4. She reads stuff. Lots of stuff. Books, news, you name it. And she has lots and lots of books.
5. She has a guitar but doesn't play it much.
6. She has had 2 other pets before us - Taffy, a big mancatly orange/beige tabby, and Velvet, an American cocker spaniel woofie.
7. She picked Pandora from the litter of kittens because Pandora was the smallest and the very loudest. (Mum's brother picked Zowie from the same litter.)
8. She has traveled to Norway, Sweden, France, Scotland, England, and several cities in the USA (San Francisco, LA, San Diego, NYC).
9. She is a writer in her spare time and is working on a novel.
10. She works for the provincial government.
And, a photo, just because!

Just before a scrap...
Mum caught me and Zowie just before we started a bit of a scrap. We don't fight a lot, but sometimes we end up swatting at each other. Mum thinks it looks a lot like boxing.
This video is a bit dim, but you can hear me meowing in it. I think that's the best part. Unfortunately it does cut off before the scrapping as mum ran out of memory on her camera.

Mancat Monday: Hanging out with the family
Yesterday I got to hang out with my mum's brother and her dad for a little while as they set up a bed in the spare room (formerly my safe room.) I hung out here on the sofa and snoopervised the operation. Right now I'm wondering when I'll get to go try out that new bed, but mum says I can't until it has sheets on it. So maybe later. We need to make sure that it's nice and comfy cosy for all our guests.

5 months!
Mum told me that today I have been in my new home for five whole months!!
Wow, time sure flies. I love having a family, even if my two sisters sometimes treat me like the little brother they don't want to hang around with. (That's girls for you, eh?)
I've been a pretty lucky cat. The MEOW Foundation and their rescuer got me off the streets, got me to a vet so I could get my eyes fixed (I had entropion eyes), and put me in the shelter so I could find my mum!
Speaking of MEOW, I'd like to ask my readers if they can maybe go give a donation, as their shelter and foster homes are full up, and they aren't able to take in any more kitties. :( And if you live in Calgary, Canada, please go fill out an application form to be a foster home if you can! They need all the help they can get! (Mum would like to foster but our home isn't big enough for more kitties. Instead she's going to donate some money.)
The photo on today's entry is one of me looking out the front window. It was pretty exciting because there were some flying mousies (Mum: sparrows) hopping about on the lawn. I sure did wish I could get out there, but I could only watch from the window.

Sister Sunday
Mum says it's tough to take pictures of Zowie because she never wants to sit still. But she managed to get this photo the other day.
Pandora seems to be feeling better mostly, and she hasn't had any tummy upsets in the last week or so. She's been very snuggly with mum all week since she got back from her holiday.

Hurrah for Fridays!
Here is a great photo from mum's trip! It's the Natural Bridge in Banff National Park. I think it's really pretty, but I don't know that I'd like to go to that park because mum says there are bears!
Mum is very happy it is Friday because she says it's been a long week (even though she only worked 4 days). She was in Kelowna last weekend with extended family and it was very hot (38C!). And here this week it has been rainy and cold, so it is a big adjustment!
(This is a view from the balcony of the fancy hotel mum stayed at. She says the very red morning sun is because of nearby forest fires making the sky all hazy.)
Mum says that kitties are fine to eat raw meat (she wanted to answer a question from our previous post about tasty chicken livers.) If she has chicken she always slices bits of it off for us kitties before she cooks it. I love those kinds of treats a LOT. In fact I will sit in the kitchen in the hopes that she will remember to give me some tasty treats. Zowie still doesn't really like those sorts of things though, and Pandora only likes some of them.
Mum also has been trying us on some raw turkey (which is mixed with the supplements from FelineFuture.) I like that turkey quite a lot and tonight I ate it and left my Nature's Variety chicken in the dish! Mum mixes that turkey with Wellness canned turkey for Pandora and Zowie, and they seem to like it okay.
You see that picture up there? Mum took it because I am playing with my new toy. It is a long bunch of yarn that she put together with knots and I can chase it everywhere, and drop it off my scratching post and stuff. Pandora and Zowie like playing with it too but I tend to butt in because I like it a lot.
And finally for tonight I'd like to say hi to all my friends! Hi to Poppy, Tober, Kari, The Crew, Daisy, Huffle (definitely try the chicken livers!), Noir, Rufus, Angel & Kirby, Reese, the Creek Cats, GJ, Teri, and everycat and every mum and dad. :)
